2026-07-22 01:11

Odaily Odaily's Chairman Lee Jae-yong of Samsung Electronics, Chairman Chey Tae-won of SK Group, and Chairman Lee Hae-jin of Naver are scheduled to meet with NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang in the United States. The meeting is expected to take place this week near Silicon Valley in a roundtable format, with the 24th being the most likely date.

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei have also been mentioned as possible attendees. If the meeting proceeds, participants will cover areas in the AI market including storage, GPUs, and generative AI services.

This meeting occurs ahead of the supply of NVIDIA's next-generation AI platform, Vera Rubin systems. With the start of mass production for next-generation GPUs, parties involved in storage supply such as HBM4, AI data centers, and cloud construction will participate in discussions.

Last month, Samsung Electronics discussed with NVIDIA the HBM4 supply timeline and volumes, foundry and SOCAMM collaboration, and joint development of next-generation HBM. SK plans to build a gigawatt-scale AI factory and AI cloud based on NVIDIA's platform, launching it for the first time in South Korea next year; Naver has also disclosed a vision to build a gigawatt-scale global AI factory in partnership with NVIDIA.
