Odaily reported that driven by the strength of US tech stocks overnight, South Korea's semiconductor sector saw significant gains in early trading on the 22nd. As of 8:11 Beijing time, Samsung Electronics rose 5.79% to 274,000 Korean won; SK Hynix rose 8.50%, briefly touching 2 million Korean won for the first time since July 15.

In the US stock market overnight, Nvidia rose 1.97% as its next-generation AI server platform, Vera Rubin, has entered mass production and begun shipping to major customers. Micron Technology surged 12.17%, Broadcom rose 2.21%, driving the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index up 5.21%. Additionally, SK Hynix's ADR rose 13.75% overnight, closing at $171.94.

In terms of fund flows, foreign investors have net purchased 717.6 billion Korean won in South Korea's electrical and electronics sector, while retail investors and institutional investors recorded net sales of 370.6 billion Korean won and 345.8 billion Korean won, respectively.
