Morph Launches Tachyon, a High-Performance Layer1 Built for On-Chain Trading Markets
Odaily reported that Morph has announced the launch of Morph Tachyon, an independent Layer1 specifically designed for on-chain trading and high-performance financial markets. Morph stated that the existing Ethereum Layer2 will continue to support payments, stablecoins, and open financial scenarios, while Tachyon will provide a dedicated infrastructure environment for trading, further expanding Morph's on-chain financial ecosystem.
As an independent Layer1, Morph Tachyon possesses its own consensus mechanism and settlement system. It targets a block time of 200 milliseconds, a throughput of up to 200,000 transactions per second, and supports instant finality, a gas-free transaction experience, and an EVM-compatible development environment.
Morph noted that the decentralized perpetual trading platform PopDEX will build its trading infrastructure based on Tachyon. The two parties will collaborate to advance the development of high-performance trading scenarios focused on on-chain derivatives, liquidity, and capital efficiency.
