Odaily Strategy’s Bitcoin reserves, as calculated by management, can cover 31 years of dividends, while its dollar reserves can cover 1.8 years of near-term dividend obligations. Chaitanya Jain, head of Bitcoin products and investor relations at Strategy, disclosed this data on X on July 20.
A filing by Strategy with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) shows that as of July 19, its dollar reserves reached $3.225 billion. The company stated that these reserves are used to pay preferred stock dividends and interest on outstanding debt.
Strategy currently holds 843,775 BTC, with a total acquisition cost of approximately $63.69 billion, at an average purchase price of $75,476. Between July 13 and July 19, the company sold 2.73 million shares of MSTR stock, raising net proceeds of approximately $264 million.
The filing shows that Strategy did not issue any preferred stock, conduct any share buybacks, or purchase any Bitcoin during that week. Its most recently disclosed Bitcoin purchase occurred on June 22.
