Odaily Planet Daily News The London Stock Exchange plans to launch a night trading venue in the first half of 2027, joining a growing number of global exchanges that offer or plan to offer near 24-hour trading. Traditional exchanges are facing competition from crypto markets and tokenized stock platforms.
The night trading venue will operate independently from the main market, with trading hours from 17:00 to 7:50 London time. Initially, it will offer exchange-traded products, including those tracking UK or US equities.
The London Stock Exchange's main market will continue to operate during standard hours, from 8:00 to 16:30. LSE CEO Julia Hoggett stated that there is increasing demand from retail investors to gain exposure to both UK and global assets during the London time zone.
