Hackers hacked Kenya's presidential website demanding 5 Bitcoin ransom, law enforcement has launched an investigation

William Kabogo, Cabinet Secretary of the Kenyan Ministry of Information, Communications and the Digital Economy, stated that the Kenyan law enforcement agency ICT Authority has immediately activated the cybersecurity response protocol and will temporarily restrict public access to the portal. Officials stated that there is currently no evidence of unauthorized access to sensitive data, data breaches, or information loss, and government systems and digital services remain secure and operational.
