Odaily Odaily reports that as tensions with Iran continue to escalate, the United States is increasing its military aircraft deployments in the Middle East. According to a US official, the US plans to send additional F-16 and F-35 fighter jets from European bases and dispatch more aerial refueling aircraft. The new military forces will provide US President Donald Trump with more options as he weighs how to respond to this escalating conflict.

Last week, Trump was briefed on escalation-of-war options in the Situation Room. He has considered whether to attempt to seize Iran's key oil export hub, Kharg Island, or bomb Iran's nuclear facilities located at "Mount Damavand." However, Trump has not yet completely ruled out the possibility of resolving the issue through diplomatic channels.
