Tom Lee responds to slowdown in ETH purchases: Due to large-scale stock buybacks, the pace of purchases remains unchanged
Odaily Planet Daily News: Bitmine Chairman Tom Lee stated that due to a large-scale stock buyback conducted during the same period, Bitmine's recent ETH purchase pace has slowed. However, since launching the ETH Treasury Strategy on June 30, 2025, the company has maintained a weekly rhythm of purchasing ETH. Over the past week, Bitmine has repurchased approximately 5.5 million ordinary shares at an average repurchase price of $15.6156 per share. This stock buyback is expected to enhance shareholder value. Additionally, Bitmine's proprietary staking business generated a yield of 2.67% (annualized) over the past seven days, and the company will continue to strengthen its digital asset treasury strategy by expanding its ETH reserve scale and staking income.
Currently, Bitmine holds approximately 5.78 million ETH, of which about 4.9 million ETH has been staked, accounting for 85% of its total ETH holdings. The estimated annualized revenue from its current Ethereum staking business is approximately $247 million. (PRNewswire)
