Hong Kong oil and gas stocks rise

According to MSX.COM data, Hong Kong oil and gas stocks rose, with CNOOC (00883.HK) and PetroChina (00857.HK) both gaining over 5%, Sinopec (00386.HK) rising over 2%, and Shanghai Petrochemical (00338.HK) climbing nearly 2%.

In the early hours of the 20th local time, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran issued a statement saying that late on the 19th local time, two oil tankers, instigated and coerced by the US military, attempted to pass through the southern channel of the Strait of Hormuz, after which explosions occurred and they were prevented from continuing their voyage.
