三星SDS上线基于FuriosaAI Renegade的NPUaaS
Odaily reported that Samsung SDS announced on the 20th that it has launched a Neural Processing Unit as a Service (NPUaaS) based on FuriosaAI's second-generation neural processor, Renegade (RGND), on the Samsung Cloud Platform (SCP). Renegade is a domestic South Korean NPU designed for AI inference, used in tasks such as response generation, document analysis, and image classification for trained AI models.
Samsung SDS stated that NPUaaS customers do not need to directly purchase NPU servers or build their own data centers; they can use the service on a subscription basis through SCP. Enterprises can select 1, 2, 4, or 8 NPUs according to their needs and data scale, and utilize them in conjunction with SCP's high-performance storage, computing, and high-speed network products.
Samsung SDS also mentioned that the NPUaaS will be provided within the SCP Sovereign Cloud environment to support public sector clients subject to strict security regulations. Lee Ho-jun, head of Samsung SDS's Cloud Service Division, stated that the company will continue to expand its product portfolio based on SCP.
