Odaily Planet Daily News: In response to Web3 venture capital institution ABCDE co-founder Du Jun publicly accusing Li Bojie of lacking contractual spirit and alleging that Li Bojie and his partner Zhuang Siyuan, during the founding of Metagent in 2024, after receiving investment from ABCDE, refused to fulfill the agreement obligations to synchronize financial and business progress, then directly lost contact and absconded, Li Bojie responded, "In the investment agreement, ABCDE Capital's investment amount was $1.5 million, but only $500,000 was actually received, with the remaining $1 million never arriving; the company's cap table still records this institution's equity based on the $1.5 million share. Due to the delayed arrival of the investment funds, both he and his co-founder voluntarily reduced their salaries, and the company faced difficulties in recruitment and R&D. In October 2024, due to personal family reasons, he could not leave mainland China, and as the Web3 project was non-compliant, he resigned from Metagent, which was approved by the board. He stated that up until his resignation, as CTO and co-founder, he had always fulfilled the duty to regularly disclose the cap table and business status, and in accordance with the non-compete clause in the agreement, his subsequent entrepreneurial projects intentionally avoided areas such as Web3, AI infrastructure, and image generation."
