Odaily Planet Daily News: On July 2, 2026, the Nigerian Securities and Exchange Commission included GIGX Technologies and Kucoin Nigeria Limited in its Accelerated Regulatory Incubation Program (ARIP) and granted them Approval in Principle (AIP). This approval allows both companies to operate temporarily under SEC supervision and proceed with full registration. The SEC stated that ARIP currently oversees nine digital asset companies, and that approval in principle does not equate to full legalization or comprehensive authorization for all crypto platforms in Nigeria.
