Bitmine to Be Added to Russell 1000 Index Today

Odaily reported that Bitmine, a Nasdaq-listed Ethereum treasury company, announced that it will be added to the Russell 1000 Index on June 26. Bitmine disclosed last month that its market capitalization had exceeded the minimum threshold of $5.7 billion for inclusion in the Russell 1000 large-cap index, subsequently entering the preliminary candidate list. This index measures the overall performance of the approximately 1,000 largest publicly traded companies in the United States by market capitalization. Currently, many active fund managers invest in Russell 1000 index constituents, and it is estimated that 20-25% of the total market capitalization of these constituents is held by passive index funds or ETFs.
