Goldman Sachs: Initiates Intel at Neutral, PT $150

2026-06-26 08:44

Odaily reports that Goldman Sachs has published a research report initiating coverage of Intel with a “Neutral” rating and a price target of $150. The firm expects Intel to benefit from rising demand for server CPUs driven by agentic AI, estimating the GPU/CPU attach rate could gradually decline from 2x to approximately 1.1x to 1.4x.

Goldman Sachs believes that as a leader in the U.S. domestic wafer foundry industry, Intel's advanced packaging business will see near-term progress, with revenue expected to reach approximately $10 billion by 2030, while external wafer revenue could reach $11 billion in the same period. Goldman Sachs views Intel's current risk/reward profile as relatively balanced, while noting that AMD, NVIDIA, and Broadcom offer more attractive opportunities.
