Reuters: Binance to Explore Other Avenues for EU License and Remain in Europe

Odaily Odaily News: Even after failing in its effort to secure an EU operating license in Greece, Binance will not leave Europe and may seek authorization through different channels in the future. If it cannot obtain a license in Greece, it will look for alternative options.

Binance has previously engaged in negotiations with regulators in Ireland, Latvia, and Greece but has encountered resistance in all three countries. Officials have expressed concerns regarding the company's historical money laundering penalties, complex international structure, and risk-tolerant culture. In response, Gillian Lynch said Binance is unclear about the specific reasons for the rejection. The company has since invested in compliance and internal controls, currently employing approximately 1,500 compliance staff. (Reuters)
