Odaily reported that U.S. Senate Republican tax writer Steve Daines stated that the framework for the cryptocurrency tax legislation being advanced in the Senate is largely in place, and the relevant bill could be unveiled as early as this fall.
Daines noted that the framework shares "more similarities than differences" with the cryptocurrency tax proposal previously released by the House Ways and Means Committee, and expressed hope that a markup session could be held within the year to advance the legislative review process.
However, Daines did not disclose the specific provisions of the bill. (Bloomberg)
