Schwab: Retail investors are currently more focused on trading tech ETFs than individual stocks
Odaily Odaily reported on Monday that investors rushed to sell off the "Magnificent Seven" stocks, and SpaceX also plummeted 16%, falling for the third consecutive trading day. "Anything related to AI and technology remains a key focus for retail investors. While they were previously quite active in trading individual stocks, they are no longer as aggressive as before."
Liz Ann Sonders, Chief Investment Strategist at Charles Schwab, stated, "This doesn't indicate a loss of interest in the overall tech or AI sector. Rather, it reflects a shift in trading methods. I believe there's now a greater focus on broader ETF trading rather than buying and selling individual stocks."
Sonders also noted that corporate earnings remain the most critical factor supporting stocks at present. (Jinshi Data)
