韩国FIU提议扩大加密转账Travel Rule适用范围
Odaily reported that South Korea's Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) proposed at the FATF plenary meeting in Paris to expand the Travel Rule reporting requirements for crypto asset transfers to smaller amounts, in order to further align anti-money laundering standards for digital assets.
South Korea currently applies the Travel Rule to crypto transfers exceeding 1 million Korean won. The latest proposal calls for extending these obligations to smaller transactions and applying them to crypto asset service providers on both the sending and receiving ends. The FIU also urged stronger regulatory actions against offshore and unregistered crypto platforms. Meanwhile, the FATF approved a new report on risks related to decentralized finance and continued discussions on the implementation of Recommendation 15, updated in 2019. (Cointelegraph)
