Arbitrum Urgently Freezes Funds Related to KelpDAO Attack, 30,766 ETH Transferred to Controlled Address

Odaily News Arbitrum posted on X platform stating that the Arbitrum Security Council has taken emergency freezing measures against approximately 30,766 ETH related to the KelpDAO attack incident.

The committee acted based on identity information of the attacker provided by law enforcement agencies and, through technical means, transferred the relevant funds to an intermediate freeze wallet, completing the disposal without affecting other on-chain states or users.

As of 23:26 EST on April 20, the aforementioned funds have been successfully transferred, the original address is no longer accessible, and any subsequent use of the funds will require going through the Arbitrum governance process and coordination with relevant parties.
