Iranian Defense Ministry: Reopening of the Strait of Hormuz is Conditional

Odaily News on April 18: The spokesperson for the Iranian Defense Ministry stated that the opening of the Strait of Hormuz will only occur under ceasefire conditions and is subject to other conditions. Brigadier General Reza Talaei-Nik said: "Warships and vessels associated with hostile forces are not entitled to pass through the Strait of Hormuz."

The spokesperson also stated that the current situation of the Strait of Hormuz is "temporary," and if the situation in Lebanon changes, the waterway may be closed again. (Al Jazeera)
