Odaily News Shipping industry analysts stated that while Iran's Foreign Minister announced on Friday that the Strait of Hormuz is "completely open" for vessels using routes designated by Iran, this does not provide the shipping industry with enough confidence to resume shipping activities through the strait. Richard Meade, Editor-in-Chief of Lloyd's List, said: "From a shipping perspective, this is indeed promising, but currently, it doesn't give anyone enough clear information to make any immediate decisions." The statement from Iran's Foreign Minister did not clarify whether Iran still plans to charge tolls for passing vessels. (Jin10)
