Taiwan's Weighted Index closed up 4.61% at 34,761.38 points. Japan's Nikkei 225 Index closed up 5.39% at 56,308.42 points. South Korea's KOSPI Index closed up 6.87% at 5,872.34 points. The MSCI Asia Pacific Index extended its gains to 5%. Sri Lanka's Colombo Stock Exchange All Share Index rose 4.2%. India's SENSEX Index and NIFTY Index both gained 3.7%.
