Biconomy Proposes New Ethereum Standard ERC-821, Supporting AI Agents in Dynamic DeFi Batch Processing

Odaily News Blockchain infrastructure company Biconomy has proposed a new Ethereum standard, ERC-8211, which introduces an intelligent batching mechanism. This allows AI agents to execute multi-step DeFi operations within a single transaction, with each step capable of dynamically referencing the output from the previous step. This effectively addresses execution uncertainties caused by price volatility and fluctuating gas fees. The standard is compatible with the existing Ethereum base layer and does not require a hard fork. Developers can use TypeScript to quickly build complex workflows. Barnabé Monnot, a research scientist at the Ethereum Foundation, stated that ERC-8211 aligns with the Foundation's core direction of improving user experience and will significantly empower AI agents to automate on-chain interactions.
