Coinbase Markets Annual Review: 110 Crypto Assets and 100 Perpetual Contracts Launched in 2025

Additionally, the platform launched 100 perpetual contracts, with the total number of tradable perpetual contracts now reaching 199. Coinbase Markets stated that 2025 was a significant turning point for Coinbase's derivatives business, with the introduction of 24/7 trading. In June, the open interest for perpetual futures surpassed $1 billion, and in October, the total open interest for the platform's perpetual futures and futures combined reached a peak of $4.8 billion. Plans for 2026 include further expansion into new indices, stocks, and emerging asset classes to broaden the product portfolio.
