According to Odaily Planet Daily, BNB Chain announced on the X platform that the BNB Chain team has regained full access to the @BNBCHAIN account. The root cause of the incident remains under investigation. The losses caused by the incident are estimated to be $8,000, and the victims will be fully compensated.
The currently known information is as follows:
- The attacker released a total of 10 phishing links, resulting in the theft of a total of $8,000 on each chain.
- The maximum loss for a single user is $6,500.
- The attacker deployed a phishing contract address, initially injected $17,800, and then sold all the Meme tokens they held for $22,000.
