According to Odaily Planet Daily, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin stated that PeerDAS, a core feature in the Fusaka upgrade, enables blockchain operations without requiring a single node to download the entire data. This mechanism verifies block data availability through node sampling and utilizes erasure codes to recover missing data. While the first version still requires complete data for initial broadcast and data reconstruction, security can be maintained with only one honest participant. Vitalik emphasized that security is a priority and that the number of blobs will be gradually increased in the future to advance Ethereum's scaling progress on both Layer 1 and Layer 2.
