BNB Chain plans to reduce the minimum gas fee to 0.05 Gwei and shorten the block interval to 450 milliseconds

According to Odaily Planet Daily, BNB Chain announced on social media that validators have proposed lowering the minimum gas price from 0.1 Gwei to 0.05 Gwei, while also shortening the block interval from 750 milliseconds to 450 milliseconds. If approved, this would reduce transaction fees to approximately $0.005 per transaction, expected to boost on-chain transaction volume and enhance competitiveness against public chains like Solana and Base. BNB Chain has previously reduced gas fees several times, resulting in an average fee drop of approximately 75% and a daily transaction volume increase of approximately 140%. Officials stated that network resource utilization is currently less than 30%, and the infrastructure is capable of supporting higher loads.
