Solana proposal SIMD-0326 passed, reducing block finalization time from 12.8 seconds to nearly 150ms

According to Odaily Planet Daily, Solana's new consensus protocol, Alpenglow, has been approved by a vote. The voting rules require a two-thirds majority (yes + no) in favor of the proposal. Alpenglow aims to reduce block finality time from 12.8 seconds to nearly 150 milliseconds.
