British man gives up on trying to recover hard drive containing 8,000 Bitcoins lost in landfill 12 years ago

According to Cointelegraph, James Howells, an IT engineer from Newport, UK, has given up his 12-year search and failed to recover a hard drive containing 8,000 bitcoins (now worth about $920 million) that he believed was buried in a municipal landfill in south Wales.
