ZachXBT: Pepe creator-related NFT project suspected to be hacked by North Korean hackers, with losses exceeding $1 million

Odaily News Chain detective ZachXBT posted on the X platform that Pepe creator Matt Furie and his platform ChainSaw-related projects Replicandy and Peplicator were attacked in mid-June, suspected to be carried out by mishired North Korean IT personnel. The attacker took over the contract authority to mint and sell NFTs, causing the floor price to return to zero. The total loss was initially estimated to be over $1 million, of which about $310,000 was stolen from ChainSaw-related projects.
