CME launches XRP futures with $19 million in trading volume on first day

Odaily News CME Group launched XRP futures on Sunday, its fourth cryptocurrency product after Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana. CME said that the notional volume on the first day exceeded $19 million. XRP futures offer micro contracts (2,500 XRP) and large contracts (50,000 XRP), both settled in cash and anchored to the CME CF XRP-US dollar reference rate. Solana futures went live in March and had a first-day volume of $12.3 million. Hidden Road cleared the first XRP futures trade, and its president Noel Kimmel said: "This is an important milestone for Hidden Road and a sign of the continued institutional adoption of digital assets."
