Odaily News According to the Immunefi report, the crypto hacking incident in April 2025 caused the DeFi platform to lose $92 million, an increase of 124% from $41 million in March. Among them, the open source platform UPCX suffered an attack of more than $70 million, which was the largest incident of the month; KiloEx was hacked and lost $7.5 million, and then the hacker returned all the funds. The report pointed out that all attacks in April were targeted at DeFi platforms, and centralized exchanges did not report any security incidents. As of the end of April, the cumulative losses from crypto hacking attacks in 2025 have reached $1.7 billion, exceeding the total of $1.49 billion for the whole year of 2024. Mitchell Amador, founder of Immunefi, said that state-sponsored hacker groups pose a major threat and recommended that the protocol adopt a "zero trust" architecture to strengthen security protection.
