CertiK releases Q1 2025 security report, with the amount of stolen Web3.0 assets increasing by 300% month-on-month

Odaily News CertiK recently released the "Hack3d: Web3.0 Security Report for the First Quarter of 2025". The report shows that there were 197 security incidents this quarter, with a total loss of approximately US$1.67 billion, an increase of 303.4% from the previous quarter. Among them, the Bybit incident caused a loss of approximately US$1.45 billion. There were 15 private key leakage incidents with a loss of US$140 million. Although the loss of each phishing attack was relatively low, it occurred most frequently, with 81 incidents this quarter and a total loss of nearly US$16 million. CertiK warned that as the adoption rate of crypto assets increases, security challenges may further intensify.
