Coinbase Chief Legal Officer: Delaware is losing its appeal to blockchain companies
Odaily News Paul Grewal, chief legal officer of Coinbase, said in an article on X that Delaware may lose its position as the preferred place for corporate registration in the United States. He mentioned that he had tried cases in Delaware, established friendships with judges, and taught courses to local lawyers, but the current business environment in the state is facing challenges.
Although Grewal did not specify the reasons for the threat to Delaware's status, the market speculated that it may involve the regulatory environment, changes in judicial policies, or the policy attractiveness of competing states (such as Wyoming and Florida) in blockchain and technology company registration. Delaware has long attracted a large number of corporate registrations due to its favorable corporate laws and court system. If the current situation does not improve, it may affect its status as a US business center.
