Gemini Lianchuang: The U.S. Department of Justice refuses to bring campaign finance charges against SBF due to paperwork obstacles

Odaily News Cameron Winklevoss, co-founder of Gemini, posted on X: "Merrick Garland's Department of Justice refused to bring campaign finance charges against SBF because those charges were not included in his extradition. In other words, doing so technically violated the treaty between the United States and the government of the Bahamas, as the United States only agreed to extradite SBF on non-campaign charges. Instead of working with the Bahamian government to fill out the necessary documents and overcome this technical problem (which the Department of Justice may have deliberately created from the beginning) in order to prosecute SBF for election interference, Garland's Department of Justice threw up its hands and dropped the charges. When did paperwork become an obstacle between prosecutors and adding more charges? Especially when it involves $100 million in stolen customer funds interfering in elections. It's downright hypocritical that the party always laments that democracy is threatened. When there is an opportunity to truly defend democracy, they do nothing. This is very telling."
