Odaily News The U.S. SEC said on Monday that crypto mining company BIT Mining Ltd. (formerly 500.com Limited) agreed to pay a $4 million fine to resolve the agency's allegations of bribing Japanese officials. The SEC pointed out that BIT Mining paid $2.5 million in cash bribes and gifts to Japanese parliamentarians and others between 2017 and 2019 in an attempt to win a bid to open a casino resort in Japan.
