Odaily News According to Electric Capital data, the number of developers in the crypto industry is on a downward trend overall. As of July this year, the number of full-time developers in Ethereum was 2,788, a year-on-year decrease of 10%; among the mainstream chains, only Base achieved a year-on-year increase of 14% in the number of full-time developers, reaching 889. In terms of the total number of developers, Solana and Scroll achieved a year-on-year increase of 14% in the past year, while other public chains all declined to varying degrees. Among them, Polygon's decline was the most obvious, with a year-on-year decrease of 26% in full-time developers and a year-on-year decrease of 33% in the total number of developers. Analysts believe that the loss of developers in the crypto industry in the past two years is mainly affected by the rapid development of the AI field. It is not a simple transfer between public chains, but the challenge of talent loss faced by the entire industry.
