BBVA Asset Management launches ‘tokenized’ fund through CNMV sandbox

Odaily News According to official news, BBVA Asset Management (AM) has launched a pilot project to apply blockchain technology to asset management, which is in line with its strategy of using innovation for the benefit of customers. In order to succeed, the company has registered a short-term fixed-income "tokenized" investment fund BBVA Token Renta Fija Corto Plazo through the regulatory sandbox of the Spanish National Securities Market Commission (CNMV). For fund unit holders, investing in this fund is the same as investing in traditional funds, except that subscription and redemption orders will be managed and recorded through blockchain and will not affect the investor experience.
