Odaily News Bitcoin rollups protocol BitcoinOS (BOS) successfully verified the first zero-knowledge (ZK) proof on the Bitcoin chain at 23:22 UTC on July 24. This will make it possible to unlock new features and scalability on the Bitcoin mainnet without further changes to the chain's base layer. It is reported that the technology behind the mainnet verification is BOS's ZK Succinct Non-Interactive Argument of Knowledge (zk-SNARK) verification software library BitSNARK.
