Odaily News Bitcoin DeFi platform ALEX Lab released a security incident update on X: "As of 11 a.m. on June 17, the attacker had broadcast more than 9,700 transactions, which involved generating new wallet addresses and then dispersing the on-chain STX balances to these new wallets. The number of traceable transactions began to grow exponentially from 300 to more than 9,600, and has been accelerating without any signs of stopping. This also means that the number of independent addresses of the attacker has increased from less than 100 to more than 4,700 in 7 days. Small amounts of STX were transferred to thousands of new addresses and subsequently sent to CEX. Most CEXs fully cooperated with us during the recovery process, however, the attacker realized this and quickly turned to the sending address of the stolen funds from CEX. The amount of STX currently traceable deposited into CEX is 8,373,587 STX, and the attacker's current on-chain balance is approximately 5,560,332 STX (calculated based on a wallet balance of more than 100 STX)."
