Odaily News Oklahoma Governor Signs Bill to Exempt Bitcoin Miners from Electricity Sales Tax. (Bitcoin Magazine) Earlier in May, the U.S. state of Oklahoma signed a bill, HB 3594, to protect crypto-related rights. The state legislatures website shows that Governor Kevin Stitt approved the bill on May 13 and it will take effect on November 1. Under the new law, the Oklahoma government cannot prohibit, restrict or impair the use of cryptocurrencies in purchases and rights such as self-custody. In addition, state and local governments cannot impose additional taxes or other fees specifically for cryptocurrencies, and legal currency taxes apply, as well as it is legal to participate in any type of mining in the state to protect local home crypto mining and mining businesses.
