Osmosis has launched V25 upgrade and will destroy 1.3 million OSMOs

Odaily News Cosmos ecosystem DEX Osmosis posted on the X platform that the V25 upgrade has been approved by Osmosis governance and officially launched today. This upgrade includes: the introduction of a new functional top-of-block auction mechanism, which will become a new source of revenue for the protocol; the implementation of a destruction mechanism, 1.3 million OSMO tokens will be destroyed shortly after the V25 upgrade; the enablement of a smart account mechanism; and consensus improvements, gas prices are now fully calculated by the EIP 1559-style gas market, and the target exit time is shortened from 3 seconds to 2.5 seconds, in preparation for the implementation of Comet Pruning.
