Odaily News Fantom Foundation announced on the X platform that it will soon launch Opera powered by Sonic technology. It is reported that this upgrade aims to improve the scalability of the network. The biggest change is the new storage system of Opera Chain, which aims to reduce access time through file-based StateDB. For verification nodes, it is possible to reduce storage requirements by more than 90%. In addition, the upgrade also includes optimization and fine-tuning improvements to the Lachesis consensus mechanism.
