2024-02-21 11:04
Odaily News The number of Bitcoins stored in exchange wallets has dropped significantly since mid-March 2020, marking a major shift in investor behavior. At the time, more than 17% of the total Bitcoin supply was located on exchanges, a record high. The downward trend in exchange balances has continued since then, even during the Bitcoin bull market in 2021, and continues into 2024. Glassnode data shows that Bitcoin holdings on exchanges have continued to decline so far this year. From January 1 to February 19, the number of Bitcoins in exchange wallets dropped from 2.356 million BTC to 2.314 million BTC, the lowest level since April 2018. At the same time, Bitcoin’s supply share in exchange wallets dropped from 12.03% to 11.79%. (CryptoSlate)
