Odaily News The SEC has set a strict deadline of December 29 for companies wishing to launch exchange-traded funds (ETFs) linked to the spot price of Bitcoin. SEC officials confirmed at a recent meeting with issuers that the SEC plans to begin approving ETF applications in early January. Any companies that miss the deadline will not be included in the initial batch of companies scheduled to be approved in early January 2024. The companies’ final submissions are expected to include comprehensive details, including technical specifications, fee structures and initial financing strategies for these ETFs. ARK and 21 Shares have been transparent about their proposed fees and have set fees on their partner ETFs at 0.80%. The industry is eagerly awaiting a decision on the upcoming ARK and 21 Shares joint ETF proposal - which is due on January 10 next year. (Cryptoslate)
