Crypto custody firm Copper launches custodian-neutral settlement network for institutional clients
2023-12-14 22:10
Odaily News Crypto custody company Copper on Thursday launched a new settlement network for institutional clients involved in trading and holding digital assets, called Copper Network. The new platform is custodian-neutral, scalable, private, and is described by the crypto hosting company as an “industry first.” The digital asset firm added that this new network will provide a growing number of institutional clients with the ability to settle OTC trades with all of their counterparties, regardless of where they host their assets. Dmitry Tokarev, founder and CEO of Copper, said the new platform will allow the company to continue its vision of becoming the main entry point for digital assets for institutional investors. “We have developed the first custodian-neutral settlement network in the ecosystem, providing market participants with a much-needed secure and efficient settlement rail to continue to expand their businesses,” Tokarev said. Copper explained the benefits of the new network, noting that it will unify post-trade communications and workflows into a single settlement solution. This is an upgrade from the basic transfer network currently used by most market participants. (The Block)
