Derivatives Monke reveals that zkSync DeFi head Sebastien is suspected of corruption, but the latter denies it

2023-12-03 09:51
Odaily News Encryption KOL Derivatives Monke published an article on the X platform to expose that Sebastien (Seb), the head of zkSync DeFi, is suspected of corruption and spreading FUD. Derivatives Monke shared screenshots of a chat with Sebastien, revealing that the latter said he could provide additional zkSync tokens to Syncus DAO and reserved some tokens for friends who join multisig. According to his tweets, Seb has been spreading FUD before Syncus was launched. Syncus is a treasury-backed DeFi protocol focused on new economic systems on zkSync. According to the official announcement, the purpose of its IDO is simply to obtain liquidity of the token and activate the treasury, allowing the staking/binding and unbinding mechanisms to work. The platform also announced that 15% of the total supply of SYNC tokens will be allocated to IDO. Its IDO will be online at 14:00 on November 25th, Eastern Time. However, a tweet from Derivatives Monke revealed the unusual behavior of zkSync DeFi Head. Seb asserted that approximately 25% of zkSync tokens should be distributed to “his friends.” Seb objected to these accusations and posted on the X platform that the screenshots in Derivatives Monke’s tweet were fake. The incident in question was untrue and claimed that he had clarified the situation regarding Discord and cleared up the initial misunderstanding. Furthermore, Seb emphasized his positive opinion of the project and pointed out that he never intentionally spread FUD. He called Derivatives Monkes tweet an attack on my (and his) identity, adding: Anyone who knows me personally can attest to my character. (Coinedition)
