Odaily News In the lawsuit filed by the US SEC against Binance, Binance.US and its founder CZ, District Judge Zia M. Faruqui signed an interim order on Wednesday. The move comes as Binance and its subsidiary Binance.US filed a joint motion with the SEC seeking a protective order and opposing the SEC’s motion to compel disclosure of evidence. According to a court filing on September 13, Judge Faruqui has issued a temporary order setting the next hearing on September 18. Judge Faruqui will hear statements made by the defendants on BAM Management US Holdings and BAM Trading Services (Binance.US)’s motion for a protective order; and will also hear the SEC’s arguments against the motion for a protective order. (CoinGape) According to previous news on September 12, court documents showed that the US SEC and Binance filed a motion for a joint protective order, requiring both parties to keep confidential the evidence and materials discovered in the lawsuit, including but not limited to documents, answers to questions, and testimony transcripts.
