Circle announces the launch of native USDC on Base.

Odaily News According to official sources, Circle has announced the launch of native USDC on Base. Base will collaborate with ecosystem applications and can be seen as the official form of USDC for its ecosystem.
Over time, Circle expects the liquidity of native USDC to grow and potentially replace the current circulating bridged USDC liquidity from Ethereum. Introducing native USDC to Base can bring the following benefits to developers and users:
- Full reserves, exchangeable for dollars at a 1:1 ratio;
- Enabling institutional on/off-ramps.
In previous news, insiders revealed that USDC will be launched on 6 new blockchains including Polygon PoS, Base, Polkadot, NEAR, Optimism, and Cosmos through the Noble network.
It is reported that USDC is currently available on Ethereum, Avalanche, Arbitrum, Stellar, Algorand, Tron, Flow, Solana, and Hedera chains.
