friend.tech: Users will have their existing points confiscated if they use a pirated version of the application.

2023-08-29 01:00
Odaily News: friend.tech will penalize users who choose to fork or use counterfeit versions, a decision that has been strongly criticized by the community.

friend.tech stated on the X platform (formerly Twitter), "It is expected that counterfeit versions of friend.tech and other types of cloned versions will appear. In order to ensure that loyal users are fairly rewarded during our testing period, users who switch to forked or counterfeit versions will automatically opt out of earning points and lose their existing points before they can use the application normally."

friend.tech did not mention any specific competitors, but some X users in the replies mentioned a new application called Shares, which plans to launch its public beta version on August 31.

According to data from Dune Analytics, as of the time of writing, friend.tech's trading volume has dropped by over 90% from its peak of 525,000 transactions on August 21. The cumulative trading volume on August 28 was less than 50,000 transactions.

According to DefiLlama data, friend.tech's protocol revenue in the past 24 hours was $161,000, a decrease of over 90% from its peak of $1.68 million on August 21. It is currently ranked 11th. (Cointelegraph)
